Tangled up in Tinsel by Jessie Gussman
I felt so bad for Amber when she walked in the mansion at first and saw the daunting task ahead of her. I’m not sure what I would have done in her shoes. Tinsel is not a fun thing to mess around with for me. She faced the challenge head on, and I’m glad that she met Daniel. Their connection was quick, but I think if there was an extended story to this, that it would be a great HEA.

BLURB:
For Mina (Meek) Williams, her relationship with her best friend, Shelby Masterson, is one of unrequited love. She yearns for more, and being a Succubus means she sometimes slips into his dreamscape and takes it. The lies and transgressions are piling up, and the guilt is weighing on her.
There couldn’t be a worse time for Shelby and Mina to start a fake relationship, but it’s this or be used as puppets for their new publicity-hungry manager. But they will do anything to get control of the situation at hand.
It becomes confusing and convoluted once they start sharing kisses and a bed. Meek can’t tell what’s real and what’s fabricated. But she is very aware that Shelby plays a loving boyfriend to the T.
And if everything is looking up, then why is she still lying to him? Will she come clean in time to be his Valentine?

New children’s book out!
Just Like My Dad 2 by Elizabeth M. Johnson and Tyrell Plair came out January 25, and it has had some great traction so far. It has recently been added to the Barnes & Noble in West Melbourne, FL, and soon to be coming to many more B&N stores. This adorable book is about a baseball team made up of diverse children, some of which who have not so great backgrounds. Their coach becomes a role model for many of them, teaching them wise life lessons for any age and what it means to be a team.
The book is also dedicated to Pensacola’s first African American Major League Baseball Player, Mr. Johnny Joe Lewis Sr., who is Tyrell’s grandfather. This dedication tells a little about the life of Mr. Lewis and means a lot to Tyrell and his family.
Blurb: As the Braves prepare for the championship game, they are faced with some shocking news when it comes down to the last game of the season. The team struggles to find out who will play what position after the loss of one of their teammates. However, soon enough, the Braves learn it’s not about winning but coming together as a team.
Just Like My Dad 2 also explores the impact of fathers, both in and out of these kids’ lives. Father figures are everywhere, but how often can fathers become absent and other family members step in to fill the void?
That is the situation for many of these players. That is where Coach Carl and Coach Mike step in. For a lot of the players, they are the ones they look up to and lean on in the difficult times within their own families. Can these families reconnect through open communication and strengthen their bond?
Along everyone’s journey during the baseball season, can Coach Carl and Coach Mike prepare the team for an unbelievable game as they learn to stick together and find strength in each other?
Discover the power of teamwork, friendship, and overcoming adversity on and off the baseball field.
WOW… Things have been busy, but I’m still working on books, as always.
So, it has been a long time since I have written on my blog. I’m so sorry about that. It was a weird beginning of the year, followed by a hard time with the loss of a job. With that loss, I didn’t know how I was going to earn income and made me worry like crazy. But, an opportunity came up and I just had to grab it. Now, I am no longer teaching and working for a company that is growing by the minute and I stay busy most of the time. Of course, with what I do now, I have slow days and I have busy days. Doesn’t everybody? This time, with this job, I’m less stressed and I have a pretty good rapport with my boss so that makes it easier.
I am working on book number 5 in the Somnolence Series by Ali Lucia Sky. I think for those of you who have been following the series, you will love it. It has all kinds of up and downs within the main relationship that is spotlighted in the series, sexy times (of course), and a lot of things that will make you shake your head and completely hate one of the main characters, but then you come to love him again. That’s all I’m going to say about that one.
We also put out a book called “It Feels Like Home” by Ali, which is her first YA book. It is an enemies-to-lovers romance and completely relatable to when or if you are in high school. You know what it is/was like to know that one person who seemed out of place in school, who didn’t really have many friends, who just needed a helping hand. She goes through some things, then things change for her. Here is the blurb for that book:
Jacelyn Waverly might need a twelve-step program for jerks.
One jerk, in particular, Ky Linley, because even two years apart hasn’t stopped the butterflies from taking flight in her stomach when he’s around.
After humiliating her in her freshman year and starting rumors that dogged her reputation, Ky shouldn’t get a second chance. Still, she’s returned home older and wiser, and everyone seems different now. But with an angry sister, an overworked mom, a father on the opposite side of the country, and a best friend who is just starting to fall in love for the first time, it all seems like a lot.
But sometimes, growing up feels like coming home.
I hope you will like it. You can get it here on Amazon: https://bit.ly/3LiVbPE
Other than that, I’ve been working on a book for CJ Ives Lopez called Grandma’s Secret Room. It is not done yet, but hopefully it will go out by the end of the year.
Well, that is all for now. I hope you all have a great week. 🙂
What a Year 2022 Has Been!
I will admit that 2022 kept me busy with working on 6 books and also handling my day-to-day job, but I loved every moment of it. I love reading with a passion and I have read some great books this year. I have been trying to keep up with all of Jennifer Armentrout‘s books that she has been releasing and let me tell you, they have been phenomenal! I have read From Blood and Ash, A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire, The Crown of Gilded Bones, War of Two Queens, A Shadow in the Ember, and A Light in the Flame. All of these books were definitely worth reading and I loved every single one. I had to know what was going to happen next with each of the characters and how the plot was going to play out. I also worked on several books for Ali Lucia Sky. In 2022, she finished Wishcraft and started the new Somnolence series. The first book Raiden came out in June. The second book, Trace, came out in September and now she is working on a new book that is slated to come out in February. I also had the pleasure to work on a book that was so relatable to me and my past, An Addict’s Journey Home by CJ Ives Lopez. It is a book that is heartbreaking but has a great ending to the journey of a young woman and her sister. I also worked on a book for Vic Leigh called A Hot Mess. I attended book events as a reader and as a PA, which was awesome and 2 of my grandbabies were born in 2022. I couldn’t be more blessed than that. I will say that 2022 was a great year for me, albeit it came with some stress, but nothing I couldn’t handle. I’m looking forward to what 2023 has in store for me and what adventures I go on in the books I will be reading. I hope everyone has a great 2023. Much love to you all!
